Busy Weekend

Whew! It has been a busy weekend. Friday since my DH was officially unemployed for two whole days (he starts his new job Wednesday), we spent the day together doing things we haven't had time for. Went to Lowes, bought some shrubs and flowers, went to pick up my things I won on the radio (I won Working Woman of the Day), went to eat, Wal-Mart, of course, etc. etc.

Then Saturday, I got up early to go garage saleing but apparently not early enough. When I got to this particular one I had my eyes on that had NICE teen size clothes, there was this woman who had just gotten there right before me and I kid you not, had a pile almost as tall as me and had gotten all the good stuff! Just my luck. I did find a couple of novels and a few clothes for me and Natilli. While I was trying to find a bargain, Scott had taken Nat to the Youth Fishing Tournament. She won second place in the Bream competition. It was so nice, we paid $6 for an entry fee and she got two shirts, two bags full of baits and they fed them hotdogs, chips and drinks. Then she got a nice trophy. Not bad for $6.

Afterward, my sweetie got our yard looking all nice and mowed for me and planted my shrubs and stuff. Then he grilled ribs, hamburgers, steaks and sausage IN THE POORING DOWN RAIN!!! It came a terrential down poor and he got soaked. The food was awesome though. I almost made myself sick on the ribs.

This morning, I got up to find him cleaning house for me. I don't know how much longer that I can't do housework, lifting, etc. but he is spoiling me rotten. I won't be worth anything before too long.

I am resting today, gotta pick up Syd from her dad's- I miss her so much when she is gone. She's called me twice this weekend. Poor baby, I don't know what she (or I for that matter) would do if she had to stay the whole summer with him. That's not going to happen though, he works off too much and is never home steadily.

Tomorrow the girls start Summer Stars Theater. This will be their fourth year. It is two weeks of drama practice to put on a play. Last year was Wizard of Oz. They love it and it has really helped Syd with her shyness.

Well, I have rambled enough. Need to go heat up some lunch. Hmmm... how about ribs and sausage roll overs.
