This Year...
is almost over. Can you believe it is already December 1st? It is like this year has zoomed past me and didn't even stop to ask for directions.Well, my presentation and research paper are over and done with. I made a 99 on my presentation, but not sure on the paper yet. I figured it up and I can make a 61 F on it and still get an A in the class, so I am not sweating it. I just pray there was no plaigarism in that sucker. I am always scared I will write a sentence and not cite it and they will pop me for the big P. She is a big stickler for that too, she was ranting and raving on it last night. Said there was so much plaigarism that she finally had to turn a "blind eye" to keep from failing people. I am not talking about the kind where you find a paper and turn it in as your own, or copy and paste soemthing of someone elses and take it as your own. I am talking about saying something that someone else may have said at one time in your life and it just stuck or reading something and putting it into your own words and someone else had done the same thing and you don't cite for it. That is why if I am ever a college professor, I would not have my students to write a scholarly research paper. There are so many more things out there in my opinion that can assess their knowledge and writing ability.
Still don't know what I made on the Law final. I am almost scared to ask.
I have one more class, that is on the internet and we have not heard from the professor since Oct 28th and I just don't think it is the responsibility of the student to email or call and ask "Hey, you gonna give us a test or something for a grade anytime this year?" That just isn't happening.
I am staying with my dad tonight. Its my turn on the shifts. He is doing well. Prayer is so powerful.
Today is two of my good friends' birthdays, so happy birthday guys!
The Christmas parade is Saturday. The weather man said it is not going to rain. Thank goodness. Now if we can just win the contest, that would be oh so sweeeettt! Our float has an old, old, old silver glittery Christmas tree on it with wrapped presents and teddy bears all around and on the other end is a wooden juke box. This years theme is "A Rockin Kind of Christmas" so we went in with our friend who owns a graphics shop and we are doing "Rockin around the Christmas Tee (no R)! The rockin, for our DJ business and the Tee for graphic tees, etc for his business. We are throwing candy and cups and B is throwing t-shirts. We are all wearing matching shirts with a thumper rabbit (DJ Thumper entertainment - get it) dancing with a santa hat on. This is our first attempt, so maybe if it goes okay this time, we'll try a little more elaborate next time. We'll see.
Well, I am going to try to go pay bills and straighten up this disaster of a house. The wall should be finished and sanded by saturday morning. S says he will paint Sunday morning and by Sunday night we may have a living room. Yippee!!!!
Happy Friday eve everybody. One more day and the work week is OVER!
