Good Friends, Good Food

I finally got to spend some good quality time with my friend J. We've been so busy leading our crazy lives that we haven't gotten to really sit down and chat or spend any time together in quite a while, like before my surgery.

She called last night and asked if we wanted to come eat Gumbo. And who could say no to a good friend and good food. She made it from scratch with a lil' of this and a lil' of that and it was wonderful. Of course I ate too much but it was worth every bite.

Anyhow, we got a chance to idly chat and catch up. It was nice, I wish we could do it more often. Now she wants me to see what we can do about planning a shopping trip to Mexico. Never thought about a road trip like that, sure I want to go to Cancun and Cozumel. Jamaica and Costa Rica was incredible, now I want to go to Mexico, Hawaii, Greece and Italy. Maybe before I die I can get all those in. I love to travel with my husband. I told my girls we would start a fund in a kitty jar for us to take them to Hawaii the year they turn 16. That is only 6 years away seeing how my baby turns 10 TODAY!!!!

Well, gotta wake my birthday girl up and go to class. I know what I was doin 10 years ago.......................
