In a Pickle

Well, I am in a pickle and don't know what to do. My neice (sister's daughter) is pregnant again. She has a 17 mo old with no father (sperm donor basically) and now again. The bad thing is the father is a guy I fixed her up with here in town and he was not impressed with her (why they slept together on the first date I don't know if he didn't like her- anyway) I have lectured and lectured and begged her to get on some type of birth control but NOOOOO, she didn't like um or couldn't remember to take em, etc.

Now, she comes to my house so she can call her mom to tell her so she won't get in a fight and so she can hang up on her if she starts calling her names. Well, I didn't want her to put me in the middle of the situation but she is already showing and can't fit in her clothes and really needs to tell her. Yeah, she is going to be furious and the **** will probably hit the fan but she made her bed, now she has to lay in it.

Anyhow, needless to say, she has been here since Tuesday and still hasn't told her mom. I take her back in the morning and I told her that before I left she was going to tell her mom. She is scared to death (she is 21, not 14 by the way). I don't know what she is going to do. She needs another kid like she needs a hole in her head. She's a pretty good mom but she is lazy as hell and doesn't work and is on suspension for her grades at college. So she does nothing all day long but eat and watch tv.

Then she comes to my house and just rummages through our fridge and cabinet and leaves her dirty dishes and wrappers lying around everywhere and just has her clothes all over the place. Like this is a hotel and I am her maid. That ticked me off. I have my own kids to clean up after and it is sad to say that my kids can get up, get themselved dressed and eat breakfast, and do their chores before I ever get out of the shower. They get through eating, they rinse their dishes and put them in the dishwasher. They are 6 and 10. Tell me why a 21 year old must leave their plate and everything just lying on the table and wherever she gets through eating.....Let me quit before I really get ticked.

So, if she doesn't tell her mom tomorrow, I have decided I am going to say "J, K has something she needs to tell you." and look at her. I am not going to tell her for her, that is not my place but she has got to say something. The whole town is going to know before her mother and believe me, I know from experience that this is not a good thing.
We'll see how it goes.....till tomorrow.
