Did ya miss me?

Hey, well I have a minute to breath, so I thought I'd blog the happenings of my life since I last wrote. The family reunion was good, though I came home a day early because I realized whether I like it or not, I am becoming my mother and once I have gone somewhere, seen what or whom I came to see, I am ready to go back home. Does this mean I am getting old?

Once I got back, the girls left the next day going to King's Camp, a nondenominational christian camp for kids. I just picked them up Saturday, they had a blast. While they were gone, R (the 6 year old) went to visit his "adopted momma deb", a friend of mine so that left the DH and me childless for a whole 4 days. It was so quiet and while you'd think we lived it up, we didn't. We mainly caught up on housework, yardwork and laundry. Ugh! We did manage to "reconnect" a little through all that though. Teehee...

I am still in school until Thursday. I had to write a 8 page research paper on Neural Tube Defects last night and finally got it done around midnight. Then I couldn't go to sleep (yes, still having problems with insomnia...) until about 2:30am. Pepper, one of our critters woke me up bright and early at 5:55 to go potty. So I'm living on little sleep and I'm out of hormones and I'm hot and just plain moody today. I hate being moody and mean as my hubby calls me. I am looking into changing my HRT to the bio identical compounding hormones. I was guided to read Suzane Somers new book The Sexy Years. Darn, that's what I forgot to do today while I was in Monroe. I was supposed to go by the library and pick up a copy.
Okay, I called the library here and they are going to mail me a copy. Done.

Not much else to tell, other than our a/c caught on fire the other night while we were playing cards. Oh by the way, we changed up partners and the guys won! Yeah for them. We gave them a great game though. Anyhow, back to the a/c. Needless to say we had to call an emergency service call to come fix it which costed us a bundle...don't you hate it when you have things planned for your money and something sticks its tongue out and just grabs it like it was never there. I will have to say though, a 24 hour period of having no air in the 100 degree heat made me greatly appreciate the luxury of having air in the first place. Note to self: Give money to elderly to help buy air conditioner. I can't imagine elderly people living in this weather with nothing but a box fan. It saddens my heart and makes me greatful for many things that I take for granted.

Well, that should catch you up for the last couple of weeks. Can't really think of anything profound that has happened in our lives.....
