Finally, its over!

I'm Free, I'm Free!

Finally, summer school is over and I have a whole 9 days to rest, relax and recouperate until I start back to work for 3 1/2 days before I'm off again with my second reconstruction surgery.

This summer has been tough, but I pulled out 3 classes and managed to make A's in all 3. Yahoo!!!!

We are leaving Wednesday evening to go on one last long weekend getaway with the kids. We are going to the Big Easy to see the sites, go to Six Flags, the Aquarium, the IMAX, Audubon Zoo, etc. It should be fun, but it is so freakin hot out there, even with the "cold front" as B called it the other night.

Oh, By the way, MB you will be so proud of me, I bought it- yes, the BO BICE CD today! I looked for Carrie's too and they didn't have a one. S said the other night that he spent hours watching her and voting for her and all he's seen so far is a Hershey commercial! Poor baby, he thinks she is such a cutie patutie!

I've been busy getting the kids ready to go back to school. Boy, you almost have to take out a second mortgage to provide three kids with all new uniforms and school supplies. As a teacher, I am ashamed at the amount of materials and supplies that our children must bring to school these days. It cost me almost $80 per child and I didn't buy the glittery, popular, felt, fluffy, etc stuff either- bare minimums with the exception of some care bear folders. That is ridiculous. Our school system is in such financial straits that they didn't even put ANY (let me repeat that)ANY money in this years budget for Supplies and Materials. Pitiful. Pitiful. Don't get me started on this No Child Left Behind Crap. I used to support Bush, but the more I get into this NCLB crap and have more and more requirements put on us and the more time our soldiers are over yonder- he's losing my support- quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Okay, that is enough ranting and raving for one day.
More to come, I'm sure as the school year quickly approaches.....
