Did Ya Ever?
Did you ever know that you were getting a check for something and had already planned on using it for something specific and find out that you already got it and didn't know what it was for and spent it?Well, that is what happened to me... I had worked in the summer compiling the Comprehensive Curriculum information into a nice little cheat sheet booklet if you will, for all the teachers in Early Intervention and was getting paid $20 an hour for it to work on it when I wanted to.
Well, I was told that i would get the check on Oct 14th, after our federal money came in, so I told myself, I will pay for the hubby's Christmas out of that, it would be enough to get him a nice little surprise. Well, I didn't get a check on Oct 14th or when we regularly get paid at the end of the month, so when I called to check on it this morning, come to find out, they had already paid me in August by direct deposit for the first half. Well, i thought it was a raise or something, who knows what it was, they put money in my banking account, it got spent. End of story. If you have a husband like mine, you don't get to hold on to money very long, its gone bye-bye.
Anyhow, so a third of it is gone, I will still get the other 2/3 before Christmas, but it won't be enough for what I wanted to get him. He always spends way too much on me and just lavishes me with gifts upon gifts, much of which I already know what they are but I make him wrap them up anyhow, because he can't stand keeping a secret.
Just like the robot. Was supposed to be for Christmas, but its in my living room. Just like the dangling earrings and the 15 beanie babies he bought for me yesterday that I just happened to walk by and say "Oh, those are so cute!". I'm telling you, if I want it, he says get it, if I say No, he goes and gets it for me. He spoils me rotten, and God knows I love him for it. I never want for anything, but I do want to build a house one day. I do want to pay some bills off.
Anyhow, I got off task. Now if I can get this thing he wants without him finding out. He is very hard to keep secrets from.
And if by some chance you have found out how to get into my blogs you little sneak, it IS NOT A DANG 4-WHEELER! Remember, you want to build on a bedroom and a porch. Just remember, sitting in our rocking chairs, sipping our coffee on brisk mornings watching the ducks and geese swim theirselves silly in that heart shaped pond of ours ( another birthday gift- ain't he sweet!).... remember dear, just remember....
