Friday Fifteen

To make up for missing Thursday Thirteen- which I've seemed to look forward to.

1. I am sweepy, vewy sweepy. Stayed with Poppa last night and those darn nurses kept waking us up and turning on the freakin light every hour. I am not complaining though, I am very blessed to have him to stay with. He is doing much better- thanks for all the prayers.

2. I am trying to get into watching Star Wars Episode III which my husband is acting like it is the best thing since sliced bread and since it has been 15 years since I saw 4,5, and 6-it took me a little bit to get into it and still not too much. Never was a sci fi one.

3. My walls in the living room and computer room are sanded and finished. By tomorrow, my DH will have them painted, shelves up and maybe, just maybe we can have some kind of order in this home.

4. I have to admit though, it is definitely looking more like a "home" with some of the projects we are doing.

5. There is so much dust in here I am getting a migraine and it will take a month to dust and vacuum all this up.

6. I made a 99 on my presentation and a 90 on my paper, which gives me 777 points out of 800 in my history of ed class. "A" for me, cha ching. Yeah!!

7. I made 143 out of 150 on my Law final which calculates to a 95 which clinches my A in that class.

8. I honestly cannot believe that with all that has been going on in my life for the past 8 months (cancer, surgeries, remodeling, dad's surgeries, stress upon more stress) that I actually pulled off maintaining my 4.0 GPA. I really had made up my mind that a B wouldn't be so bad, but I pulled it out. Whew! Not that they pay me a dang dollar more for As than they would for Bs

9. I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow during the parade.

10. I really hope my 18 year old shows up for family photos tomorrow.

11. I have to get up early to fix the girls' hair in the morning. These pics will go in Christmas cards. Can't be looking fugly.

12. This paying cash for remodeling right here at Christmas time is killing me. I'm juggling bills everywhere.

13. Bastrop Rams are going to the Championship! They beat Ouachita and Neville got beat by Breaux Bridge. Bastrop and Breaux Bridge in Shreveport. YOU GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE WAY BHS!

14. Dang it, we have a school dance we have to DJ next Friday and won't be able to go to the Championship. That sucks. We may see if we can try to change that.

15. My child, my 10 year old child I have you know, has informed me of two things that bother me. Number 1, two girls in her class have been discussing their not being virgins anymore with her and her friends. Okay, i have real issues with this. Number 2, she is dumping her current boyfriend for a new one. Not that I liked her having a boyfriend at all but at least I knew this kid, his mom and I are friends and we do a good job of montoring their "courting". I don't know the new kid and this bothers me. I am beginning to wonder if giving the girls their own phone lines for Christmas is such a good idea. Dad says its going to be okay but I don't want my baby growing up. The other one doesn't even look at boys. If it doesnt wag a tail, she isn't interested.
