Happy Mardi Gras!!!

HAPPY FAT TUESDAY!
We may be down, but we ain't out yet!
There may be no stores open past dark, no Walmart, no IHOP and no body living in their homes, but dammit- We are still strong enough to get drunk, take our clothes off and show our tits for some beads! YEAH! That's what I call S-U-R-V-I-V-O-R-S~~~!!! Whahoooo!~





My hubby has been in the Big Easy for the last four days and he said you would not believe the devastation, he described it as being like someone dropped an A bomb~ he brought back some pics he took from I-10 and you wouldn't believe the debris, the boats in the road and median, cars just abandoned and piled up everywhere, trees just dead. Six Flags just dead, part of I-10 just temporarily there to get the traffic through. But we still had Mardi Gras- We still Let the Good times roll. Now excuse me, I am all for trying to rebuild and trying to get over the utter destruction but why is a city going to spend that kind of money to have parades out the whazoo! DH said the rooms were going for $200 a night- nothing unusual for N.O, but damn- from what he was saying- there aren't many down there that are open.

Now you can't get the boats and vehicles out of the roadway and median and can't open up the looted WalMart on Tchopitoulas Street, but you can organize and pull off hundreds of parades.... what is wrong with this picture...
