Preparing for Detox

Yes, I said detox. No I'm not an alcoholic or druggie.
I am about to take on the task of detoxifying my body from all the bad things going on being exacerbated by the foods I eat.

Yes, I have joined the ranks of those who have saught out alternative medicine to get healthier and fix my broken body. I am sick and tired of going to a medical doctor for them to tell me that I have either a sinus infection or stress and to slow down. I know my body and if you remember this post, you know that I know there is much more going on than just stress.

So I am going to do this for myself, for my husband and for my family.
I won't bore you with the details of my visit yesterday, but it was not pretty. Basically nothing in my body if functioning properly except for my lungs. My adrenals are working overtime, my lymphatic system is almost nonexistant, my kidneys aren't functioning, my digestive system has almost shut down and my liver is not doing its job.

So I will begin slowly tapering myself this weekend and Monday morning- I will be in DT Hell!
Just to give you an idea of what I can and can't have, I've included a Do's and Don'ts list below. Please pray for me and offer encouragement. If you have something negative to say, please just keep it to yourself. I have researched this, I know the pros and cons....I just need to be normal again and feel like I am alive. I just hope this does it... [BTW- this is not to lose weight, it is to flush the toxins out, to rid my body of the parasites, the fungus and the yeast that decided to make their little humble abodes in my freaking body...]

Foods I can have:

fresh fruit
fresh veggies except corn (no canned)
rice (brown or basmati (WTF?))
grains such as quinoa, amaranth, millet, and buckwheat (have no clue so don't even ask...)
beans
unsalted nuts, seeds- no peanuts
fish
olive oil
vinegar, spices/herbs, mustard
green tea
water
lemon
rice milk (ugh)
goat cheese (ugh again)
(this is going to be so freakin hard.....)

Foods I cannot have (uh..duh.. what is not above, but let me just count the ways)

sugar (or any dirivitive- sucrose, dextrose, corn syrup, artificial sweetners)
milk, eggs, butter, other dairy
wheat or wheat products
gluten containing grains
corn and all corn products
caffiene: coffee (reg and decaf), black tea,{NO, NOT MY TEA} soft drinks (reg/sf)
yeast
alcohol
chocolate
food additives and preservatives
high
fat or fried foods

So please bare with me if I see you on the street and curse you out for no apparent reason. Its probably that tea you are drinking or that air you are just breathing....
It's going to be a rough two weeks but I can do this!!!!
