Sometimes the little things just piss me off!

I am so pissed. I work in a rural school system that has their fair share of problems, especially financial due to money just mysteriously coming up missing last year. No, no heads rolled. I won't go into details because it could come back to bite me in the butt later.

Anyhow, there are a couple of little ticky things that just light my fire:

#1- they are out of money but they come up with this time clock system that scans your handprint and requires your social security number. Then we also have to sign in on a piece of paper. We teach children for goodness sakes, we all have had a background check and you don't trust us enough that we have to scan our hands?

#2 They purposefully set the clocks above 5 minutes later than the regular time so we all have to set our home, cars and personal clocks by that time also.

#3 The have put a smart filter on our internet server that blocks everything under the sun. They even blocked Yahoo because one of the teachers was on a yahoo chat room badmouthing the superintendent (not during work hours though).
Now they just blocked blogspot and any other blog affiliate. I don't know how it allowed me to post but I can't view anything anymore. Yesterday I could get in it all.

#4 They are messing with our time. Docking us for 30 minutes here and there when they haven't ever before but not paying us when we have to work over for hours. They have even altered and changed some of the workers time sheets and required them to clock out, then go do duty so the time won't show up on the clock so they won't have to pay overtime...isn't this illegal?

I know these are all ticky things and may not be a big deal to you but when your job is stressful enough and you have to bust your butt all day and not get anywhere near the national average for teacher pay- these little things just irks me.

Yeah, so maybe I'm just pissed cause I can't read any blogs anymore, but that was my daily activity during nap time. Now I guess I'll just have to work. UGH!
