TGIF
Thank goodness it is Friday! I find myself beginning on Mondays counting the days till Friday just to get through the week. It has been a long and stressful week, but with two midterms out of the way, I am hoping that next week will be better.I am still trying to get my approval for the completion of my reconstruction. I don't know why these doctor's offices want to drag their butts. Don't they understand that I want instant gratification, I can't stand waiting and wondering, that all I've been through, they could at least make the dang phone call!!!! Now, I feel better. I am hoping that within the next two hours I will at least have a decision as to whether they will approve the surgery over the phone or if it will require a letter to get the approval. If they approve it by phone, then I can go on and schedule it. If I schedule it for the first week in November, that will give me 6 weeks off plus 2 more weeks vacation for the Christmas holidays, 8 weeks in all and I sure need it~~~!!!
Tonight I have to finish my book for my book report. I started out reading "Riding with My Sister", a true story about a 35 year old woman with mental retardation who rides the city buses all day. I read it and enjoyed it but was not profoundly affected by it and am at a loss as to what I would do for a presentation, which has to have some type of visual aid- be it power point, pamphlet, skit, whatever. So, as I was doing the research for my research presentation, I was reading the autobiography of Helen Keller, "The Story of My Life" and have been quite amused at this mischievous little girl, turned gollege graduate, despite the fact that she was blind, deaf and mute. It is a wonderful, entertaining piece of work. So, I now have to finish this book, I am on Chapter 7 of 23, in order to switch to this book for my book report. Did you follow all of that?
Anyhow, at least it is interesting and I have read more of it than I read in a month of the other one....and it will kill 2 birds with one stone, somehow simplifying my life a tad. That's always a good thing.
Well, off to do dreaded duty. When the bell rings, I am ready to get out of here, not stay for another 45 minutes fighting with rambuctious children ready to get out of here too. Of course we were told today that we are approved to run a 4 day a week schedule next year, which I am thrilled about. A Three Day Work Week sounds wonderful!!!!!
Tally ho....have a good weekend.
By the time I come back Monday, I'll be a year older.
Reminder to myself: Go get driver's license renewed by Monday!!!!!!
At last, a DL I don't have to lie about my weight on. Yippeeeee~~~@!!@@@@
