Manic Monday

Let me first say a big THANK YOU to all of you who were praying, thinking or sending well wishes for my dad. He is doing much better and finally got to come home over the weekend. The blockage is gone- Thanks be to God- and he is recovering nicely. He is all ready to get his tomatoes planted. I'm telling you, the man just doesn't quit.

Well its Monday morning again and it seems like just yesterday it was Friday and we were having a blast at Special Olympics. It really was fun and our kids did so well. Two of my girls (the only ones old enough) won first place twice and second twice. By the time we got back, we were exhausted and our backs were killing us. It took my husband's truck to carry all the walkers, equipment, etc. We were loaded down and had to bring everything but the kitchen sink.

My weekend flew by, not from having fun, mind you. I had so much homework, work work and house work to do it wasn't even funny, so I worked all weekend. I got a pretty big dent in my assignments and got some critical paperwork done and behind me so it feels good not to have so much on my plate.

This time of year is so crazy for special educators. It is that time of year where we have to do reevals, do their education plans for next year and get all the data and paperwork done for extended school year (summer school). As far as grad school, I also only have a month to go with this semester sothe race is on to finish all this stuff in 4 weeks. I hardly think its possible, but I amaze myself with what I can accomplish at the last minute. You would know that there is one more class that I need to graduate (that I dropped this semester) and now I can't find it anywhere. Just my luck! I hate this university!

Daylight savings time is really screwing with my head. I didn't want to go to sleep last night and Studmuffin watched Fresh Prince of Belair till about 12:30 (which would have been 11:30- our usual bedtime), then I couldn't get my but up this morning. I had to come to work with a wet head thrown up in a pony tail...

My kids were like the tazmanian devils this weekend. It must be the sap on the trees. At school, its like a zoo around here. Vetgirl had a friend stay over and they ended playing on the pier of the pond and the little girl jumped onto a floating dock and you guessed it- fell off, knocking the dogs off. She had to swim to the pier and Vetgirl had to pull her up cause we could't get to her in time. Of course Studmuffin could only see us loosing everything we have by a law suit or something and went ballistic. All is well though. A bath and she was good to go.

Summer camps are coming up and I think I am going to have to get an extra job just to pay for them. They usually do 4-H, King's Camp, and Theater camp but this year they have chosen to only do 4-H and their beloved King's Camp. But even still- its a big chunk for two kids. I can only imagine when the baby gets old enough to go. That's in two years.

The puppies will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I've got some people interested- they are so cute and playful, it will be hard to let these go... the only bad part about breeding for me.

Well, I have plenty to do and I'm only putting it off by rambling, so I will go get busy. Hope you guys have a great week!
